Who will take Bawumia seriously as a Presidential candidate for NPP in 2024? – Kwakye Ofosu

Former Deputy Information Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has indicated that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, cannot be considered a prospective Presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections. Speaking on JoyNews on Tuesday, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu explained that the reputation that precedes the Vice President due to his abysmal performance in the running of the economy will make him untenable as a candidate. According to him, the Vice President will not be taken seriously as a presidential candidate by electorates because he has failed to defend some of government’s policies despite being the head of the Economic Management team. NPP will lose 2024 elections with Bawumia or Alan – Felix Kwakye Ofosu

Former Deputy Information Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has stated that the “BreakThe8” campaign led by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not materialise. According to him, this is because the governing party will lose the 2024 general elections irrespective of the presidential candidate they settle on. Speaking to Benjamin Akakpo on JoyNews’ AM Show, Mr Kwakye Ofosu said Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Trades Minister Alan Kyerematen, said to be best placed to replace President Akufo-Addo will be no match for the opposition National Democratic Congress.
